I have to

something
to
make this photos go down. so that it doesn’t hit the writing in the right, until my next post comes along in a few days.

book corner
We have a lot of books lying around, and even pick them up and read. I have a bout 10 books by my bed, but admittedly, I’ve read about 20 pages in each…and think I will get back to them. That’s part of the appeal of kids books, they’re SHORT, funny, have LOT OF PICTURES, and sometimes, can teach you so much about life, more than you can learn from a 5 pound book. There are a few books like that, that I love reading to my kids, because of all of the above, and mostly, because they teach me a little something about myself, life and how to deal with it all. Three of these books come to mind, and we have been reading them a lot lately ( when I get to choose…)
My friend kath introduced me to this book, and reading it to Kyle and Zoe just brought it to a whole new level for me, that I almost always cry, and I love reading this book for breakfast because it inspires me to go out into the world and be the best I can be, for the best of reasons. I’ts smart, witty, and beautiful.
It’s pretty obvious what this book is about, and it’s as good as it’s cover, I should probably read it every day with my cup of coffee or while I brush my teeth, and dance around saying that to myself. I like myself, I like myself, I like myself…
A book about being different and being OK with it, and how hard we are on those who are different. I promise, the message is deep. and funny, and Mo Willems, is the other write I’d love to meet, the first being David Shannon, whose art I am putting on my wish list if it’s out for sale or I’ll just frame his books, they’re that good. He’s latest, or at least the last I got, I mean my KIDS got is
ok, I did say three, but his books are collectibles.
