There’sa new Disney movie with that subject matter-I read it’s got a double twist to it, I would go with my daughter if I thought we should be reading or watching any fairy tales…but I have my opinion on those, and here’s one. I always found this story interesting, because I felt the princess was right to change her mind; who wouldn’t? she did what it took to get what she needed and what she wanted- no matter who paid the price along the way- it’s a sheer coincidnce that she ended up with a handsome prince that she loved and lived happily ever after as far as we know…but it could have eaily gone so wrong, and how many times have we all been in this scenario? times when things did not always end like the fairy tales? at all.
How is this connected to the photos- just the frogs. and the princess…they made me smile and think about life ahead and the rules and regulations and ideas and life this girl still has a head of her, and how many frogs are going to offer to help and then come knocking on the door? Though knowing her father…I bet he’d kick him out and tell him to come back when she’s thirty. Thats’ what I would do.
And how many frogs will she have coffee with or dinner or kiss? how many have we?
and all because of one little story that was supposed to teach little girls how to behave and listen to their fathers (who’s wives always mysteriously died, either at childbirth or just of plain weakness….
Obviously, times have changed, and today, the girl would just turn around and say ” it’s ok, I’ll just get another one on ebay!”
And the moral of the story is…..leave me a comment with one I’d love to hear what you’re thinking…if you’ve never done it before, scroll down to click on comment !
