As I review my life through my kids eyes, I wonder what they are experiencing for themselves, and I also reflect about what they will think of it, in the future, looking back. I guess that’s partly what photography is about – creating memories, that then recreate memories based on those photos. This was a quick shoot in the late afternoon in the early summer. Our next door neighbor came over for a visit. She’s only our neighbor on Thursday-Sundays, so every other day of the week, I will hear “What day is it today?” “when is it Thursday?” ”Can we check if M is home?” so finally, it was a Saturday, June 11th, after 7pm, she was home and she was over, and I had my camera and I snapped away for a bit….I know my kids adore her, and I hope we stay neighbors forever, so whatever happens in the future, these kids will have some photos from a late afternoon in the early summer of 2011 to re-remembe what is was like when they were friends back then.
