This past weekend was very special…..This wedding was very special and close to our hearts… Mitch’s Niece, who I have known since she was 15, just over 10 years ago, and Mitch obviously has known her entire life, just got married! Besides the obvious delight of her parents, and our joy in her happiness, it was a special moment for Mitch and I, as we got married in Las Vegas too! (yes, this post is about ME, somehow…. :) We got married in Las Vegas, but more than that 0we were in fact at the SAME hotel when Randi and David got married, only it was the failing Aladdin back then and had since been completely overhauled to become a hip hotel Planet Hollywood, which contains a more than respectable photography collection throughout the hotel – I wonder if there was a book that featured the photos hanging – each framed photo made me want to be come a photographer. Oh wait, I am one. Anyways, there was a moment when all the girls were getting ready in front of the bathroom mirror, that took me back to my wedding over 10 years ago, and just like a little old lady I had to say ;” just 10 years ago we were standing in a room just like this (but that is now completely different..) getting ready to go to my wedding…” The bride and bridesmaids turned to look at me with an expression I could tell was “yes, we know, that;s very interesting… but it’s Randi’s day!” And it was! it was Randi’s weekend! The great thing about “destination weddings” is that we get to get away! and hang out with family for the whole weekend! and not have to drive, so we can drink, and it’s a mini vacation with a good meal and loving moment along the way. I wish Rand and David the best of love in their life, happiness and health, wealth and success! And of course, thank you for letting me be part of your wedding – I really wanted to be a bridesmaid, but photographer was close enough!
