How They Grow – School Pictures

The fun thing about working with a school (besides the fact that there’s no parent yelling over my shoulder “smile, smile”) is that when returning a year later, I get to photograph the same kids again. And wow, HOW THEY GROW. I have kids of my own, and since I see them every day I dont always notice the small changes, every day, that my parents who visit once a year, will notice right away…. This young lady was so shy last year, she could barely look me in the eye and couldn’t stop giggling nervously… this year, she was ready to ROCK! Once her hair was down from it’s pony tail, and the uniform changed to a sleek jumper / swirly dress, she acted like a true professional model, her whole demeanor shifting to pro mode when I pointed the lens at her. Obviously she cracked up here and there, and those make even better photos…. ;))

These are a couple of shots from last year – I am not sure if it does or does NOT prove my point…
