Cinderella

True life Cinderella. when she wakes up, the Unicorn, Bear, and Bunnies will help her do her day’s work. And if you’re a chick like me; rent the Enchanted movie, it’ll put a smile on your face and make you realize hat fairy tales were the chick flicks of their time. ( ok, it’s a stretch , but we can pretednd that’s what they were).

So what’s in a day’s plan for Cinderella?

Octomom [E-Card] - dont smile now - Shani Barel - Tarzana Kids photography - [...] Honestly, even after watching the Nadya Suleman AKA Octomom on Oprah, I still don’t know how she’s doing it, and why. Not that she really has a choice now….  I have 2 children, and I knew as I was having them that I was never going to be one of those Super Moms that can do it all, and still look good doing it. After being a mom for 6 years, I’ve convinced myself that those moms who look like they’ve go it all together – have a secret – and that secret is either a Nanny or a messy home. You just can’t do it all !!!! Let me rephrase that- I can’t do it all. And then one day a year, and maybe a the week leading up to it, being a mom becomes a national holiday-being a being a mom means getting candy and cards, being a mom means I go to the kids school and am served tea and sandwiches by my own daughter- and she says L” this is the best mommy day EVER” and I realize that it doesn’t matter how hard being a parent  may be sometimes, and it doesn’t matter that your dining room table has turned into a toy/arts/ homework station, , and it doesn’t matter that you spend your mornings serving at what feels like an all you can eat diner, and it doesn’t matter that you don’t remember what you liked to do before you had kids…We are all Octomoms, even if it’s just one child, because they fill your world so immensely that it feel like you have 8-14 kids. hhhmmm, maybe not really, I have seen her on Oprah, and it is freaking impossible to imagine. I am just GRATEFUL for what I have, and the closest I get to being an Octo-anything is I feel I NEED 8 arms to be and do everything, and that once a year I make a photos with 8 Zoe or Kyle. [...]

Ixchel lives in Spain, and is visiting Los Angeles for a couple of weeks. When she came out in that dress I almost died.

HELLLLLLO Kitty!!!

Sophia Just turned 4, and to celebrate her party she had all things Hello Kitty. I think that there’s a parallel universe where everything is Hello Kitty, oh no, wait, it is this world, and we live in it…so here are some photos from Sophia’s Purrfect Party…the cake is from Cake Crumbs in Encino and was as good as it looked!

Turning A New Paige

Luckily, I am a photographer, and not a writer. Which is a problem I have to deal with every time I want to post some photos and add some meaningful text, when the photos are supposedly saying it all, if one photos is 1,000 words, then my work is done, who would have read 10,000 words anyway. I am sure it’s most photographers dilemma, but here I am babbling, when all I can think of saying, and I should have just said it- This Is the BEAUTIFUL Paige, and in her case, you CAN judge the book by the cover, because she really, TRULY is beautiful, inside and out. and do I sound cliche… oh well.

Easter

Easter’s here, tomorrow, and a holiday with an Easter Bunny is always worth celebrating! Besides, it’s better to hunt for eggs than the bunnies themselves!

F.ART Spring

I was doing my weekly shopping for food at trader joe’s (only the BEST market in LA by FAR and I know no ones going to argue with me…) and since it was Friday and since we were having guests and since I love flowers and since even though you only see one in the photo but there were really five of them and since they were only $3.99, I swear, I have the receipt to prove it, and since I always want to update my blog and since I am Mapplethorpe fan( and there’s SO MUCH MORE to him than the calendar link I made, it was just the perfect photo to show in regards to this one.so anyway… TADA…another F.ART entry. oh, and it was the first day of SPRING AFTER ALL…

food at trader joe’s: $79.85

flowers at trader joe’s: priceless.
