Lake Mission Viejo

Who Knew? about an hour and a bit away from my house, hiding behind suburban homes, (nice suburban homes) is a beautiful man made lake; Lake Mission Viejo that for the first second you see it, just as the sun is setting, and you don’t yet notice the electrical wires, can make think of Lake Como in Italy…..work with me here, it’s as close as I’ll get to a European feeling, even if it was for a brief moment one afternoon in Califronia, that 100 miles away was on fire. . . it completely changed my ions. This was a stop at my friend kathleen’s parent’s home in the area…on our way to our annual Knoll photoshoot, which will come as an entry soon! (The lake is private, so it may explain the solitude on the waters on such a beautiful day)

I am at Lake Como...at least in my mind

Palm springs

BIG BOY with BOOGER…!   I was in Palm Springs this weekend, shooting a wedding with Michael Segal. , at the Riviera hotel, which was just recently remodeled and this was the first wedding shot there. (photos will come soon) It was pretty hot on Saturday, and on Sunday, driving back is was windy and a little rainy.
I love the “green” energy windmills that are on the way and shot them through the window.
On the way there we stopped at Big Boy for a yummy burger, and I think the real  Big Boy had a booger…I had to retouch it out!

Malibu Creek SP, practically down the street from us,(ok, down the freeway…) I’ve driven past that little sign so many times on the way to the beach (thinking, what’s there?) , not  knowing how beautiful, relaxing and fun the place is and how  easy the hike hike.  I will have to take my own kids there, and until then, here are the a few photos from the afternoon I spent with a beautiful family. I’m only showing  a few picks, I want to surprise them (HEY them!) with the photos in a coffee table art book.

Election Day

So I got to vote this year. I am a new American Citizen so I did my citizen duties, and voted for…Anyway, it was an easy and important experience and I’m glad I had some say, not just in choosing the next president, but on ISSUES too, I might have to do this every year.

Anyway, the best part is that  I had something to take a picture of.
