My 0.00009 of a minute of fame...

It’s scary to think that I can say “twenty years ago” but it’s really 17 years ago I was visiting my dear friends here in LA, before I moved here, and while here I attended a wedding at a beautiful Victorian building; The bride had lived in the apartment building co-op and I thought it was the first time they had a wedding there (but I could be awfully wrong too) It was a combination of a beautiful location, a groom who was an award winning photo-journalist, and my first ever american wedding. I was a guest, and I loved it. This was way before digital days and my friends had since lost touch with those friends but Castle Green has remained the same and now offers weddings to anyone who wishes a vintage style event. And then, in June, I found myself at the gate of Castle Green in Pasadena representing Michael Segal Weddings Photography for a shooting of the addictive David Tutera’s show My Fair Wedding and the specific episode here – So as I am shooting (background stills for the Show’s usage, and not for the couple specifically, all my memories of this wonderful place came back to me. 17 years have past, so there weren’t too many memories left, so I got myself some new ones. Obviously I set my Tivo to record the show and last week it finally aired, and even though the actual wedding is 10 minutes of the show, I HAD to watch it  – and becasue I knew where I was standing when the doves were released and because I know how to freeze frame on my Tivo, and becasue I had a camera handy (hhhmmm…) I snapped this photo of me, on my TV… a photographer at work….and becasue it’s really tiny and blurry and not completely obvious what’s going on, you had to read this lengthly explanation…and here’s some of  the rest of what I shot that day…

This is what I was shooting at that moment

The wedding was greek inspired- and how mazing to have a roof top like this

The Couple

This leaf had fallen from the tree, and I thought it was perfect, so I shot it...
