When I met Dee at Michele and Gary’s wedding I knew she was a special, especially cool, and super nice. We said we would get together soon and talk shop, and it was hard to schedule a get together becasue we live about 5 minutes away from each other….The invite I got a few weeks ago was for “an intimate gathering of events professionals for an evening of education, conversation and stories!” (as in Love stories, and War stories….) I wouldn’t have missed it in the world, so when my sitter called sick at 4pm (!!!-) I was luckily able to find a replacement, a friend stepped in, and wether she knows it or not, wether she WANTS it or not, she is now officially on the kid-sitter roster, as my kids claim to no longer be babies….Anyway…at the round table were – the host Dezhda “Dee” Gaubert of No Worries Event Planning who was marvellous at making us feel wlecome and comfortable. Andrea of the super yummy, uber-chic, and just “fine cakes and confections” (as quoted from her business card ) Superfine Bakery who brought two fabulous cakes to split between 6 women… also there was the stylish Shannon of Shannon Kim Hair , who’s charming and sweet. Dani – a make up artist and future bride and wedding designer, and last (besides myself…) was Molly, whose calligraphy art just blew me away – her calligraphy is contemporary, timeless and vintage, all at the same time. You have to ogle her creations at plurabellecalligraphy.com ! I just did.. and then there was me, who almost chocked on a tiny piece of carrot when it was my turn to talk….In between cake and champagne I got s couple of shots…which more than anything is an opportunity to blog!
