The Wedding Photographer

Shani modestly shies away from doing wedding photography.

But the fact is, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

If she wasn’t my sister, I’d put her to work shooting my wedding.

Oh wait, I did!

shani herself - I do not shy away from weddings, I love shooting weddings if yo uhave a wedding, I’ll shoot it!

I’ve wanted to try out  this lens for some time…it’s called lensbaby and though they have just come out with newer better ones, what I have is the good old original lensbaby, which is essentially a piece of !$@^#,
I mean plastic with a hole in it…but it’s DIFFERENT. blurry, but different… this is my first attempt and I already want the new better sharper ones, and until then, I have a new toy to play around with, plus a few ideas what to do with it.   here it is….

and how is Cinderella getting to the Ball?

Jono - I want one of these!
(Lensbaby, not ballet slippers.)

Lucy in the sky of Diamonds

On Saturday, I shot a Bat-Mitzva with Michael Segal. Lucy is pretty and pretty cool, and just LOVES the Beatles. Her party was themed as 80’s disco, and apparel varied between the late 60’s to this day.  Everyone danced, including myself, and yes, I did feel OLD. ( and yet, so cool…) here’s a little bit of my hard day’s night…

my kids ….

kids, I have two of them, Kyle and Zoe almost 5 and almost 3.5, cute little monsters

I will be talking about them, and what they are doing..this could even be a place to write down all the funny things they say, the things I’ve ALREADY forgotten that they had said.

second attempt, 2 in one day???

ok, I’m just getting it together, it’s my first time…relax, I’ll get it….

I was playing around with Aperture yesterday, I mean I was WORKING WORKING on Aperture and discovered, as usual 6 months later..(later than when I could have really used it) that I can design custom books that can later be exported to different uses and therefore printed in different sizes and places…to me, that’s EXCITING, to Emily?, not so much

This IS IT for real

So I’m staring at the screen and know that I can’t wait for the perfect thing to write, I just have to start and see how it goes and after a few of these attempts, I can start telling people, like you , that in my spare time I type my thoughts, as they come, I am making them up, the fingers are telling me what to write and the voices in my head are telling me I am crazy. I am SURE everyone’s blog starts the same way…right? NO???!!!!   my plan? to write every few days…Like the time long long ago when I was traveling across the states, far away from my home land, and felt the need and desire to comment about everything, especially about Starbucks…
